How can i add songs from an ipod to my xbox or the Lips game?

I have just got the lips game and have noticed that it is possible to add ipod songs to the play lists. So i have connected my ipod to my xbox, and nothing happens. I look in the Get music. But my ipod songs are not there. I go back to the dashboard, and in the music folder, it says i haven’t connected any external devices. However, my ipod touch is charging while it is connected… Also, does it matter if it in the front or back?

Well, the ipod touch is not compatible with 360, i had an ipod touch and found out it was not compatible, but the best thing to do is to get the shuffle or something because its cheap hope i helped!
