How do I upload music on my ipod to my itunes account?
Posted on Dec 29, 2008 under Ipod Q&A |Marissa H asked:
I am electronically challenged and I have never had an ipod before. My sister got a new iphone so she graciously gave me her old ipod! So now I have this old ipod with old songs on it and a new itunes account with zero songs on it, is there any way for me to upload those songs from my ipod into my new account? I greatly appreciate any responses!

# 1 Plug in your iPod.
# 2 From the Desktop, go to My Computer and find the iPod (usually designated by a drive letter. i e. E: or F:)
# 3 Open the folder.
# 4 Go to Tools > Folder Options > View (the tab) > scroll to Show Hidden Files and Folders and click it.
# 5 Click OK
# 6 Go back to your iPod folder/drive, there you will find a new folder called iPod_Control
# 7 Open it.
# 8 The Music folder in it will have a bunch of folders named F00, F01 and so on. THEY HAVE YOUR MP3s. Look through the folders to find your stuff.
#9 drag back into itunes or left click, open with itunes.whichever.
or easy way…go to imtoo.com download ipod to computer transfer.

I don’t think that there’s a way to get the songs on your ipod to your computer-account but there is a way to get the songs from your account to your ipod.

You can copy the song files from the Itunes Music folder on your sister’s PC hard drive and and save to an external hard drive. Then take that drive and upload to your PC.
