Ipod?!!?

I have a 4th generation ipod and it won’t turn on for some reason. I’ve tried to search the internet for help but it doesn’t show me how to fix a 4th generation just the regular 1 or 2 generation. Please help. I haven’t even had this ipod for a week and its already messing. I **** to sound like a baby but it’s really frustrating. If you know what i mean. But please give th best advice you can give and thanks for your time and help.
