What kind of microphone will work with the ipod touch by plugging into the headphone jack?

I have an ipod touch 2nd generation. I already know that some microphones can work when plugged into the ipod touch’s headphone jack. I just need the name of a specific model of microphone that can do that. Also, i heard an ipod touch-compatible microphone was released in october 2008.

Any cellphone headset that uses the same type of jack.
